Terich valley is populated with several small villages separated by groves of apricot and apple trees. The valley is very fertile and the resulting verdant floor is in breathtaking contrasts to orange and yellow apricots and apples, especially in late summer. After driving up to Zani Pass 3840m trek descends down to the last human settlement of the region, village Shagrom at Terichmir Guest House and Camping Site for the night stay. At the crest of Zani Pass there are excellent views of the Peaks of Hindukush and Hindu Raj ranges and the color contrasts of the two are readily discernible. Trekking through the summer pastures of Athak and Bandok to Sheniak- Jungle of birch and willow trees at the foot of lower Terich Glacier. From here trek on to the lower and upper Terich Glacier up to (Babu Camp) Base Camp 4700m. On route there are many attractive 7000m peaks like; Tirich Mir 7708m, Noshaq 7492m Istor-o-Nal 7403m besides other.

Reservations

Reservations can be made via faxing or mailing together. The Tour expense is entirely based on the itinerary and the aggregate number of hotel and camp evenings specified therein. If the event has to be deferred because of awful climate, road washouts or postponed flights, affliction, Government constraints or some other possibility for which Karakorum Expeditions can’t make provisions, the subsequent extra cost for such postpone is excluded.

Method of payment

Payment will be accepted online transfer or in cash, certified cheque is not allowed.

Cancellation and Refund

Cancellation must be informed either by telephone call or by email to Karakorum Expeditions. Cancellation charges will be imposed as follows: 30 days before flight 25 % of the land cost, 29-15 days before flight 50 % of the land cost, 14-1 day before flight 90% of the land cost. No refund will be given for any unused part of the trip.

Change of Itinerary

Reasonable adjustments in the itinerary may be made just where regard advisable for the comfort and safety of the tourist.

Insurance

Tourist are encouraged to get insurance that covers cancellation, mishaps, loss or damage of baggage, health emergency, helicopter rescue and personal belongings. This insurance must be planned yourself directly with your specialists/insurance agency.

Baggage

Each person is entitled to bring 15kg of personal baggage maximum. Any excess stuff portage will be charged additionally.

Obligations

The Karakorum Expeditions will provide transportation, accommodation, meal and other important prerequisites for group expedition which are stated in the itinerary. In case if the group Private trips and tours or expeditions terms and policy will be different from the group expedition.

Extra

Extra nights accommodation or transportation is not included in the package, in case of early arrival or late departure, early return from Trekking / Expedition (due to any reason) than the scheduled itinerary, we are not responsible to entertain individuals unless it is a privately booked expedition.

Liability

Karakorum Expeditions, its operators and team won’t be at accountable for any harm, death, harm, accident, delay, theft, either by the demonstrations of any organization or individual occupied with leading the visit.

Itinerary

Rest/afternoon city tour. (Hotel)

Drive to Zani Pass (3480m) for great views of the peaks of Hindukush and Hindu Raj. Start of trek and descend down to Shagrom 2900m (the last human settlement of the region) for night stay at Terichmir Guest House. From the pass to Shagrom 2-3 hours walk. (Home Stay)

Trek to Sheniak 3540m through the willow trees and summer pasture, along the river of Terich. Walking time 5-6 hours. (Camping)

Continue trek onto the lower Tirich glacier and then moraine to Shughur Baisun 4038m. 5-6 Hours Trek. (Camping)

Trek besides the upper Tirich glacier to Tirich Mir, Noshaq and Istor o Nal Base Camp (4700m). 6-7 hours trek. Best view of Terich Concordia and surrounding peaks. (Camping)

Day 07: Rest Day for Photography of surrounding mountains and Exploration of the area. (Camping)
